TechCrunch BattleField

ShieldSquare made its presence felt at the TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2015 held at San Francisco, USA. Our Anti-scraping and bot prevention solution was showcased on 22nd September, Tuesday at the Disrupt Startup Alley where ShieldSquare’s senior management eloquently answered all questions related to the entire gamut of Anti-scraping and Bot prevention.

That’s not all. We gained popularity at the Startup Alley owing to our obsession with customer needs, our appealing demo’s, persistence on conveying the impact of bots and our permanent solution to fixing common threats of scraping.

Some of the problems shared by internet businesses who visited our booth in the startup alley:

  • One of the US Top 10 retailer’s  visited our booth and expressed their ongoing problems faced due to form spam they are receiving on their Ecommerce Portal.
  • An online marketplace revealed that their users are getting frustrated because their listings are getting posted elsewhere without their permission.
  • An agricultural classifieds site who just launched their operations are overwhelmed by the spam they get on a day to day basis.
  • A car listings site wanted to ensure their unique listings don’t get into hands of competitors

The audience at the alley have shown their interest and encouraged ShieldSquare by their votes thereby helping us get shortlisted for the Startup BattleField.

The voting lines opened just for 6 hours and we were one of the 10 startups that got shortlisted for the wildcard entry. Later, the TechCrunch Editorial team quizzed us further to know more on how we are growing and enquired about customer base including a few references to validate the strength of our solution. Finally, they declared ShieldSquare as the wild card winner thereby landing us an opportunity to pitch onstage at the Startup Battlefield.

Our Co-Founder and CEO Pavan Thatha pitched our bot prevention solution with an emphasis on growing online threats from bots, the vulnerability of web content exposed online along with our product demo. Know all about the pitch by reading this featured TechCrunch article:
